We can give you comprehensive advice on how to adapt the suspension/slurry to your requirements precisely.
As well as a high temperature stability, various ceramics also have very good chemical inertness with many molten metals. Pans, moulds or sintering underlays are coated with a suspension/slurry in which the ceramic powder is dispersed to generate a chemical barrier layer.

We supply different ceramic suspensions/slurries which are applied using paintbrushes or sprays as a barrier layer.
With our extensive experience, we can develop suspensions which match the respective requirements precisely.

Aluminium oxide Al2O3

  • good chemical resistance with many metals
  • Temperature resistant
    - Inert/vacuum 1900°C
    - air 1700°C

Boron nitride BN

  • good chemical resistance with non-ferrous metals and glass
  • Good anti-friction properties
  • Temperature resistant
    - Inert/vacuum 2000°C
    - air 900°C

Titanium nitride TiN

  • good chemical resistance with hard metals, PM steels
  • Temperature resistant
    - Inert/vacuum 2000°C
    - Air 600°C

Yttrium oxide Y2O3

  • greatest resistance, e.g. with titanium
  • Temperature resistant
    - Inert/vacuum 2200°C
    - Air 1800°C

Zircon oxide ZrO2

  • greatest resistance with precious metals
  • Temperature resistant
    - Inert/vacuum 2100°C
    - Air 1700°C
